2025 Match Schedule is Set!

Happy New Year!

We hope you enjoyed the holiday season, but it's 2025 and we are getting anxious for the shooting season to start up!  We have purchased some new props and a bunch of new equipment.  We have stockpiled targets, pasters, paint and even supplies to build new walls again this year.  We have some new tablets, and our AMG Lab Shot Timers have finally arrived. So let's jump in and bring you up to speed with what is happening with our match schedule in 2025.

First off, the Calendar on our website has been updated with the matches for 2025.  We still need to setup the matches in Practiscore and link them to their calendar entries, but at least you can see the schedule.  As we have done the last several years, registration for matches will generally open at least 30 days in advance for all weekend matches.

2024 was a record year for our USPSA program, all of our matches were waitlisted, and we nearly doubled our activity from the previous year.  We hope to build on that success for 2025.  We will still have matches on the 2nd Sunday and 4th Saturday of the month from March through November.  August will be a little different due to the Area 5 Championship and IPSC Nationals being held in our Section.  For our April, June and November 4th Saturday matches, we will offer flights on both Saturday and Sunday those weekends, we hope this will help some of the waitlisted participants.  Also, the DSS USPSA Club Championship is back!  It will be a 2-day format on September 27th & 28th featuring at least 12 stages.  Finally, we plan to conduct a couple of All-Classifier matches in the evening during the week.  We will have more details as the season progresses.

Our Wednesday Dynamic Steel matches will start in April and run through the end of October.  These are great matches for newer competitors to become acquainted with the practical shooting sports and DSS.  We will continue to start these matches at 3:00pm for 2025.  Shooters need to arrive and be ready to shoot anytime between 3:00pm and 7:00pm in order to participate. There is no pre-registration for these matches. Cost will remain $10 for the first run and $5 for any additional runs.

There are some significant changes to the Multi-Gun program for 2025.  First, we have shuffled the schedule around and our Multi-Gun matches will be held on the Saturday before the 2nd Sunday USPSA matches.  This will make setup for these events easier and allow us to focus on better stage design and match flow..

Second, we will be alternating the format from month to month between on traditional format and PCSL 2-Gun format.  This new format feature 2 divisions and offers Hit Factor style scoring.  You can check out the PCSL page HERE for more information.

With moving the day of the month for our Multi-Gun and PCSL matches to earlier in the month, the American Defense MFG Rifle Series matches will now be held on the 4th Sunday of the month.  We currently have 5 matches scheduled for 2025.  Competitor's best 3 matches will count towards their series score.  There is a possibility we may add a special date for a 6th match.  If we do, then the format will change to the best 4 matches.  We will update this before the start of the series.

We will be offering 6 Steel Challenge matches for 2025. In the past we have utilized the 5th Saturday or Sunday of the month when the calendar has them.  Unfortunately, there are some personal and other schedule conflicts that prevent that this year.  Instead, we will hold matches on the 1st Sunday of the month.  Competitors will still be able to sign up for 2 firearms per flight and can sign up for both the morning and afternoon flights.  That mean shooters can compete with up to 4 firearms per match!

Pricing for all weekend matches will remain the same as previous years.  As we mentioned previously, we still need to setup the matches in Practiscore and link them to Calendar entries.  We are also working to update the Matches and Business Partners sections of our website.  Please be patient with us, we will let you know when the updates have been completed, but we wanted to at least get our schedule posted so competitors can plan for the year.

That is it for now.  Stay tuned for more updates coming soon.  Until then, be safe and hope to see you at the range soon!
